Monkey Wrench

4 days off and it looks as though we didn't get very far.

Thursday we spent the day moving the bathroom into the spare room. Thank goodness we did move it, if we didn't we would already be going into 4 days without toilet and shower. One of my best  ideas yet, along with the hulla hoop that holds the shower curtain up!

We had Ben the plumber over to start the plumbing, having Ben there saved us so much time and it ensures its all done correctly...

Thursday night we poured some self leveler down to try and level out the floor. We also had to do this again on the Saturday night.

Hmmm I can't even think what Aaron did on the Friday, I say Aaron because there is actually nothing I can do except lift things when told.

I got the fun job of shoveling dirt back into the holes Aaron dug before the wedding for the waste pipes. Yeah I was pretty happy with this job... ON the bright side, I'm sure it was good tough mudder training.

I also fitted the drawers into the wardrobe, they look great! Thanks Dad! Later on we will put the front covers on them, but that's not a priority and no one would know that's the plan.

Aaron finished off the cavity slider, so that's all working, we did buy the wrong size door so we need to return that and get the correct size.

Aaron also built out the area where the shaving cabinet goes. The shaving cabinet will be built into the wall a little, it should only sit out about 70mm.

Next weekend Aaron will spend most of his time under the house inserting new joists under the bathroom, he is doing this because where the floor waste goes is a joist and he wants a certain floor waste and he needs to cut into the old one blah blah... so we know we are creating more work for ourselves but it has to be right.

Clearly having two designers in the house creates more work.

Mother's day weekend goal is to have the sheets up, ready for tiling. Eeek! It would be great if the bathroom is finished end of June.
