I need a dollar

Hmmm not much progress this weekend unfortunatly.

Aaron worked on the windows...story of our lives at the moment...haha...but no matter how often we look at them, we still love them. They will be out labor of love I think.

He started painting the window sills in the master bedroom and also started staining the windows for the master bedroom.

He also went into work to finish off the master bedroom drawings so we can get a quote on a company cutting up each section. Nearly there we just have to make a few more tweaks.

Other than that not much else happened.

I got my wedding makeup trial done by Sian, so I just relaxed! haha! It looks amazing if I do say so myself. Thank you Sian!

Wedding invites have also been sent to the printer today, this is the part where the designer freaks out hoping there is nothing wrong with them. It's probably the most stressful time for a designer, no matter what the job is. The other stressful time is wondering if your client/friends like them. So I'll have to wait a month and a bit for that stress.

These gardenias smell amazing, pity they die so quickly.

Littlest Things

Hello!

Ok so not much of an update this week as I was working, not working on the house working, but working for work! Boooo

Anyway Saturday Aaron and I put the first of many amazing windows! Woohoo!

Other than that, Aaron spent the rest of the weekend getting the master bedroom window sills and eves etc prepared for the windows, which we picked up on Saturday. Now we just need to stain them...Windows to be continued...

Seeing how the window looks from the outside. yeah you can't see it.

This was my view all weekend! Pretty good looking Annual Report though.

Hello window!

Looking fine!

We went for a walk with Jackson, normally we pick him up and put him near the bubbler, but he was so thirsty he hopped up himself.  And this pic was pure luck, what a view!

Another cute pic!

Gardenia flower, they smell good!

The place is rocking

So I bet you thought that we would have windows in today! Unlucky!

On Thursday night I had to do the last coat on the windows and oops I dropped one and broke it. So now we have taken the window back to the paint stripper man to fix that little problem. So that window wont be in for a few more weeks. :(

So we had another hold to fill but Aaron felt that he needed to put some silicon stuff into the gaps on the outside of the window. The stuff is still drying, so that window didn't get put in either! Next week, I promise!

Other than that we took the master bedroom windows out and dropped them off at the paint stripper this morning.

Aaron also put up the architraves around one window, it looks amazing! Such a clever little thing.

That's about us this weekend, it feels like we didn't get much done at all.

Looking through the Window

I know, I know so slack for not posting earlier. But I have been super busy at work!

Now the weekend is a blur...

Aaron was at Ant's (his brother-in-law to be) bucks on Saturday, so I spent the day doing bits and pieces, spray hinges with anti rust spray or something, poslishing the door knobs and designing our wedding invites. THEY LOOK AMAZING in case you were wondering!!!

Sunday it was another bits and pieces kind of day, I took Jackson for a run around the river in the morning. Best running spot in Brisbane I reckon. And then we spray painted (under-coated) the architraves for the windows, Aaron inserted the window sills into the Window frame, plus I'm sure there was more that we did. There are no photographic evidence of me doing anything so I probably say on the couch and watched TV???

So this weekend I think we will finally get our first lot of windows in! Hazah!

Test run of the windows, I tried to lighten this pic but you couldn't see much more so I didn't bother uploading it.

Fire it up

Yay for long weekends. We could definitely get used to them, or maybe just not working...

It was a weekend jam packed with social events but we managed to get a few things done.

On Saturday I went to a babyshower and left Aaron working on the house, not sure what he accomplished but I'm sure there was something.

On Sunday as Aaron has a sore back I moved a trailer of dirt from the trailer to the backyard, I feel as though maybe he is using this sore back as an excuse to make me do all the hard work.
So while I was shoveling dirt, Aaron spent the time painting the window eves etc. Lucky him!

Sunday afternoon we went to Hudson's 4th birthday party, that was full of lollies and cake...mmmmm oh and kids

We came home and did our first coat on the windows, they look great! Only problem is we bought tassie oak for the window frames (not sure if this is the correct word, the window and lock hold this attach to this bit of timber??), anyway we thought staining it would make it the same colour as the silky oak windows... maybe not. We are still trailing the satin and seeing where we get too. We can either buy silky oak, or pine and paint it white... boo. I'm sure none of what I have said makes any sense. Sorry

Monday I did another coat on the windows and Aaron added some extra lights in the bathroom, got the fan working (after a few hours of trials and tribulations), got the light working in the pantry and finished off some of the light switches.

And now I am back at work, hanging out for the next weekend.
