Circles

And, we are back!

Saturday Aaron spent the morning sanding and re-plastering bits of the ceiling so we could start undercoating it. He also fixed up 2 cracks we had in the lounge room.

While Aaron was slacking off I competed in my first individual Crossfit Comp, yep the least sports oriented person I know, me, competing, ha! It was a friendly comp between our box (club) and another one. I did pretty well, I made it into the finals. So 3 from girls and 3 boys from each box had to compete in a team final. I probably held back our team in the finals but it was all for fun and very hard. I've been sore ever since.

When I came home I had to work...boo (even though I am a champion athlete). We took a load of green waste to the tip and also picked up our belongings from Shalya and Anthony's. They have been minding some of our stuff so we haven't had to move it each time we turn the house upside down.

Sunday we did anothing tip run. Dad you'll be pleased we finally got rid of all the crap out the front. One more trip next weekend and we will have gotten rid of the gyprock too. The rest of Sunday was spent sanding and painting. Yay we painted some ceilings!

Aaron also started to plan the lights. We have 2 light holes in the hallway now. Yay exciting.

Step by step

Hmmm nothing to report on this weekend as we spent it up the Sunshine Coast with mum and dad. We did a few wedding things, found dad a shirt, tie etc and found mum some fabric for a little jacket to go with her dress. Mum also fixed my wedding dress, so the Prewett's are all set to go. Aaron's isn't far off either we just have to decide on a suit colour.

On Sunday when we got home from the coast I cooked a few paelo meals. Chocolate cupcakes and Apple and Cinnamon Muffins. All paleo. Today Monday 18 June I start 30 days of Paleo eating. So there will be no more m&m's while renovating. boo....

Next weekend we shall finish the sanding and move onto the panrty! Fingers crossed!

Stay tuned

Jackson was all worn out after visiting with his cousins. I've never seen him with so little energy.

Oh what a night!

And finally its arrived...yes my kitchen!
On Friday I worked from home and kept an eye on the installers, Marty did a great job, bought his daughter along to help out. Aaron finished early on Friday to make up for all the extra hours he worked before Satursday Indesign.  We were lucky enough our friend Joel came over and installed the oven and cooktop friday night. YAY! We have only one saucepan that we can use on our induction cooktop but I have ordered more, so that should be here this week. woohoo!

The kitchen looks amazing. We have had to keep the blue plastic on it until we get a proper bench top but being able to use draws and cupboards makes all the difference.

We also have a makeshift bench top until we decide on a colour, we are leaning towards white now, black is to hard to keep clean.

On Saturday we took the day off and went to the races with Rowland, that was a fun day out.
Sunday I spent it on the couch catching up on all my TV shows. Aaron installed the dishwasher, he is so handy!

Monday I spent the day cooking our lunches for working week and Aaron fitted off the rest of the house, so now we have power in all of the house and not operating from one power point. Pretty amazing!

So the weekend felt like we didn't accomplish much but we hit some massive milestones. Kitchen and power, hell yeah!

Things to come.
1. Finish off plastering and sanding ceilings
2. Cornice
3. Painting
4. Install pantry
5. Window architraves
6. Master bedroom
7. Bathroom
8. Floors

So just a tiny list of things to come.

Happy viewing

Devil's work

Not much to report on this week unfortunately. Saturday was party day, we went to Catriona and Luke's engagement party, which was a lovely lunch looking over Wellington point. We also had little Brody's 1st birthday! So that was a bunch of fun!

Sunday Aaron and I have lost motivation when it comes to sanding. We had the drywall sander so Aaron used that a little and then realised he has to finish off the ceiling by hand, so that's where we came undone and didn't wanna do it anymore. Sanding is the Devil!

Aaron did a few other bits and pieces around the place and then we headed out to a band which Ant and Jess are going to have play at their wedding. It was nice to get out.

So the big news, kitchen arrives on Thursday and installed on Friday! Can't wait. Joel is coming over on Friday to hook up the oven and cooktop. I am so excited. I am going to cook up a storm.

Happy Birthday Brody!
