Spectrum

What a lovely weekend we had. Aaron worked at Saturday InDesign on Saturday... Saturday InDesign is where all the Furniture and Lighting companies open their doors and put on special exhibitions.
Below are some pics of the AMAZING design work Aaron has been working on.

On Sunday we took mum and dad down to Uki to check out our wedding venue, we must be onto a good thing Natalie Gruzlewski host of Farmer Wants a Wife was eating at Mavis's and she is a regular. So no renovation pics this week, we left mum and dad at home to to do some work! haha

Also on Saturday Aaron and I went to see Florence and the Machine, what an amazing performance! It was such a great concert, wish I was going again. Next concert is Coldplay!

Ain't no sunshine

Arg! On a weekend where we thought we would hit a major milestone we were bitterly disappointed.
This weekend we were supposed to have all the sanding in the house complete, but unfortunately we got to 3pm on Sunday with one and a half rooms left and the dam drywall sander machine BROKE! God dam it! Not sure if I have said it before, but I HATE sanding!

On a good note we did get to start painting, we painted a few walls with base coat. Woohoo! The walls are s stark white! But looks amazing. We finally feel like we have gotten some where.

So our weekend consisted of sanding with machine, sanding by hand and painting. Not much more to report...

On another good note mum and dad are here on Friday to look after us for a week. Woohoo! We may also get them to lend us a hand but who knows. We are all going down to Mount Warning for lunch on Sunday which we are all looking forward too! So not all work this visit.

The kitchen is arriving in  17 days, man that's ages away!

B-

Aaron has had to crack the wall open to insert the cable for the induction and oven switch. Wish we knew about that one earlier.

Yeah I'm drywall sanding!

Here comes the sun

Man I wrote this whole post and I accidentally closed down. So here we go again.

It was more a weekend of exercise than renovating. But it was nice to have a litte break from it all.

On Saturday we went to our first crossfit competition, it was to help raise money for living below the poverty line. Aaron and I came 7th. Not bad for our first competition. After that Aaron's friend Joel came over to help Aaron with some electrical. So we have fitted off a few power points and hopefully soon we can have power in half of the house. It will be great to not live off ONE power point.

Sunday to support the cure for breast cancer Aaron and I ran 8km. Too easy! ha! It was a great morning to be out in the sun. After the run we went home and I continued with my top coat, we just have the ceilings and the master bedroom to go with the top coat. The only reason I stopped was because I ran out of top coat.

The week we will finish off the ceilings and the master bedroom in preparation for sanding on the weekend. It sorta feels like we are getting somewhere now!

Mum and dad will be here to help us in a few weeks, woohoo!

Little Hell

Lucky for us we had another long weekend. Labor Day. Our kitchen is arriving on 8 June, which means we have to get the kitchen area ready for the kitchen to be installed. So that means plastering, sanding and painting walls and ceiling and making sure the pantry ready to go.

So that's what we spent the weekend doing. I was in hell...sanding hell. Azz fixed the pantry according to the builders specifications. He is very clever.

So not many exciting pics this weekend. But here you go. We may have a few long nights this week to get the house ready for the big old sand this weekend and then painting (undercoat) the weekend after.

It's Jackson's First birthday today, I gave him a haircut to make sure he is looking his best. We are buying him a ball thrower machine so he can play fetch all day long. Happy Birthday Little Jack!
