Changing of the seasons

We have been pretty busy enjoy life the last few weekends and not rushing to work all weekend, but we have managed to get some work done on the spare room.

Yesterday we undercoated the room, so it's ready for cornice next weekend and maybe a coat of paint. Our aim is to have the spare room completed by the end of October which is totally achievable. Aaron wanted to have it all done in the next two weekends, I laughed. Completely do-able if he isn't starting work at 3am.

Aaron also managed to get the architraves on around the door and and also undercoated them in the spare room and also the bathroom. We have one final coat on the bathroom door.

We still need to buy the toilet roll holder and hand towel hook, we will do that this weekend coming. Then we are done...with the bathroom!

Not very exciting images for you this week.

Supersoaker

Hello spring!

This weekend we started on the spare room. We threw up the last wall in the house! Woohoo! And we started to plaster the wall.

We also took out the windows in the spare room to have them dipped.

The rest of our time was spent looking for bathroom accessories, looking at wallpaper and having a massive spring clean. We got rid of so much stuff. All the tools have moved from inside the house, which is super exciting for me.

In the last few weeks Aaron and I competed in Tough Mudder, a 18km obstacle course designed by British Special Forces. Which was great fun! (I still can't believe I did it and had a great time). It also has left me with the toughest obstacle a terrible cold which keeps hanging about. Aaron also celebrated his 28th birthday! We had a great weekend catching up with friends and family and going out for a lovely dinner to celebrate.

It feels great not having to rush this last room and do things at our own pace and be able to go out with friends.

For the rest of the year our aim is to finish the inside of the house and enjoy our summer and save for our honeymoon.

We have the spare room, windows and final coat of paint in the kitchen and lounge to finish and the pantry and hallway.

Things are looking amazing and I can't wait to see the end result.
